Year Six Camp
On the morning of Wednesday, the 23rd of August, the year sixes gathered in the sunken courtyard, ready to board the bus with their luggage. We had a fifteen minute bus trip to Point Peron Camp School. There, we unloaded the bus and got straight into the activities… but only after a delicious morning tea!
On the first day we did the challenging low ropes course, which is like a tightrope course. We also did rock climbing, where we conquered our fears, and mountain biked around Point Peron to admire the breathtaking views. Diary writing was a daily activity to let us reflect on what an amazing day we had. The night time activity was the Talent Show which included acts like singing and stand-up comedy.
On the second day we ventured into the icy water to do two activities, kayaking and raft building. Archery and crate climbing were the other two activities we did. Artwork of the beautiful scenery at Point Peron in charcoal was also a quick activity. This time our night activity was a movie which was ‘Middle School: Worst Years of My Life’. Mr Borlini loved it!
On the last day of camp the year sixes took part in orienteering, which is just like a scavenger hunt, prusiking, which is rope climbing and moviemaking.
After three days we boarded the bus back to school and were excited to see our families again.
We loved our year six camp and our favourite activity was prusiking. We would like to thank the teachers who gave their time and effort to organise and come on camp with us.
