Last week I wrote about the importance of talking about school at home, this week I would like to talk about reading with children. Parents make a major difference by reading and talking about books and stories with their children. Reading skills can be taught at school, and parents can help build a crucial foundation for successful literacy through conversation and reading together. This helps develop the motivation to read, a greater level of comprehension, and strong oral language skills. Remember there are many wonderful books in our library, so happy reading!
I would like to wish everyone a safe and happy Easter. I am sure the students are just as keen for a well-deserved 5 day break as the staff.
