My apologies for not completing the newsfeed on Friday, as I was not at school, so this week we will have two postings.
I would like to thank all involved with our highly successful and enjoyable book week. Firstly to Karen Corby for her fine efforts in the overall organisation of the week, I am sure the entire school community is very grateful for the many great activities! To Natalie Martin for all of her efforts in coordinating the highly successful and well supported Book Fair, not only did many students purchase books, but the school made a commission of $820 to purchase books for the library.
It was great to see so many parents and family members at our Books on Blankets family picnic even though the weather was not kind to us, thank you for the support that you give. Thanks also to students, staff and parents for your efforts in the book character dress up day, it was a fantastic day.
Once again I would like to thank our wonderful canteen volunteers for their hard work in making sure that our students, and staff, have access to very tasty homemade food. I know that the ladies put in a great deal of time and would appreciate any help that you may possibly give, even if it is only for a couple of hours.
I would like to wish our students representing the school in the Interschool Athletics Carnival the best of luck. I am sure that you will once again not only try your very best, but also show good sportsmanship and display your very best behaviour.
