I would like to welcome everybody back to term 4, with a special welcome to our new students and families. The term is yet another very busy one. We have NAIDOC Day, Book Week/ Book Fair, Athletics, parent helper morning tea, Graduation, Christmas Concerts and reports. This is also an important term educationally.
We have commenced planning for next year including staffing, so it is extremely important that our student numbers are accurate. A separate letter has been sent to all families with a slip to be returned to the school by Friday 20th October if your child/children will not be attending Port Kennedy next year. Your cooperation would be very much appreciated.
Please remember when crossing the road in front of the school to use Mrs Janice our lovely crosswalk lady. She is there to help you cross the road safely. It is important that you follow her instructions. No running or riding your bike across the crosswalk is allowed.
The Faction Athletic Carnival is coming up next Friday 20th October. We need volunteers to help on the day. If you can help, please put your name on the list in the front office.
Our Nature Play area is complete and students are enjoying playing and learning at the same time.
I would like to congratulate Tracey Nivison on receiving her Warnbro Cell ‘Excellence in Education’ Award this morning; Tracey was on Long Service Leave last term and missed the Ceremony.
I look forward to seeing you at one of our many events this semester.
